In The Land of Lord Nityananda

CC Antya 6.44-45: Sitting on a rock under a tree on the bank of the Ganges, Lord Nityānanda seemed as effulgent as hundreds of thousands of rising suns. Many devotees sat on the ground surrounding Him.

Chaitanya-charitamrita Adi-lila 8.23: "The Name Nityananda immediately evokes tears and ecstasy of pure love for Krishna even in a sinful person."

No body can resist the mood of Lord Nityananda Gosai during the Panihati festival celebration, when this pastime is re-enacted by going to a body of water and sharing prasadam with all the devotees.  Often I re-enter that land by taking a dive in these reminiscences locked up in my heart of a time on a bank of a river  - the Ganges in my reverie - with a crowd of devotees, where was even difficult to find a spot to sit and take prasadam, while everyone was chanting, dancing, bathing and inundated by tears and tears of joy....

Again and again
inwardly, swiftly
I will be back on the bank
of that river,
Lord Nityananda,
where you bathed
in burst of splashes
among your devotees,
where the dust
of innumerable lotus feet
fell in my plate
and choked - I ate,
when the astounded mind
became self-thoughtless
and joy sprayed into tears.

Rainfalls of flowers
are not enough,
universes of  resounding mridangas
are not enough,
forests and forests of oozing honey
are not enough
trying to fill words
of this overwhelming joy
of touching the ground You touched
being touched by the air
Your body has touched.*

Needing thousands of voices
to call Your name,
no less than billions of hearts
to contain one form of You,
but needs one only fallen, wretched soul
to magnetize all Your mercy,
O Nitai Gosai,
let me enter this unlimited land
to dance my prayer to You.

Lord of the Awakening,
Nityananda Ram,
obsess my mind with remembrance,
make this restlessness
a longing heart
give the taste of Your Lotus feet
to these tears.

*"Lord Gauranga MahaPrabhu is saying that the air which has touched the body of Lord Nityananda,if that air somehow comes to us and touches our body, even if small molecule of air touches our body which has touched the body of Lord Nityananda, then Lord Krishna will never ever give up that person again." from the Glories of Lord Nityananda Prabhu
