MADE BY LOVE - The Creation of Nava Vrajavana

She possesses all the attractiveness to attract the all-attractive Personality of Godhead. She is the primeval internal potency of the Lord."

In the seventh manvantara (Vaivasvata Manu), the Supreme Personality of Godhead Shri Gaura-Vishnu will accept a golden complexion due to attaining oneness with His pleasure potency Shrimati Radhika and descend on this earth [...]" Purusha-bodhini Upanishad-Atharva-veda, 6th Prapathaka 

"The supremely effulgent Personality of Godhead Lord Gauranga, the source of all other splendors, resides in a pure, splendid and transcendental realm -Navadvipa- which appears golden due to being illuminated by His own golden bodily complexion." Mundaka Upanishad (3.1.3)

The Story of Navadvipa or Nava Vrajavana appearance

Siva told this story to Parvati.   Once a Sakhi told Radha that Lord Krishna was enjoying in a grove with Viraja.  She ran there, but Krishna disappeared and Viraja became a river.  This happened once again, so Radha thought to attract Krishna and created a moat between the two rivers Ganga and Yamuna. Then She filled the place with creepers, groves, tall trees, bowers, flowers, deer, bumblebees and all around were singing and chanting. Cupid himself along with Springtime resides eternally there.   She brought also Her sakhis and dressed with a colorful garment she started to play on a flute to enrapture Krishna. He was so pleased and taken by ecstatic love for this creation of Radha that He promised to always reside there and never leave Radha.
Then He merged in Her body and They became one in the form of GauraHari - outwardly of a fair complexion but inwardly Krishna Himself. - Ananta Samhita 2.4 

An enchanting melody

drew in Krishna to this land,

shaped as a golden lotus

nestled on two rivers banks,

fragrant with cascades of flowers,

lush groves and magic bowers,

filled with birds and honeybees,

deer, tall trees, all chanting,

so alluring - everything,

rivulets of colour

 seemed to pour from Cupid's nib,

 unfurling this eternal Spring,

but it was Radha.

Weaving golden threads

of pure love and the pleasures of Vraja,

wearing veils of rainbows

and playing mind-attracting notes,

She held out Her hand,

as Krishna got close.

.

So entranced was He

His voice was choked,

and delighted, He brought

all the sacred places to this shore,

and promised, once again, just as before,

to always reside

on this stretch of earth,

to taste Her love, and Her desire

that shines like millions of suns,

so in love He merged into Her heart

and They became One.

The blue heart stayed within,

yet relishing Her love,

a golden lustre glowed from His skin,

and never was seen

in the universe before

such a Moon that arose, so radiant with mercy,

and that shines, ever since, in Navadvip.

"When heard by mankind this narration removes all sins and bestows devotional service, Whoever rises early in the morning and with devotion to Gaura recites or hear this story of Navadvipa's creation will certainly attain Gouranga."
